Neural Impulse Actuator
It’s OCZ’s neural impulse actuator, NIA for short, and is essentially a “brain mouse.” You plug the box into the USB port on your PC and that put that crazy band around your forehead. There is software included to help you configure and calibrate the thing and once you’ve done that you can play your games… with your mind! I’ve been reading around on some forums and apparently this thing has been around for a short while (I’m just finding out about it now) and it works quite well although it does have some issues. People have been saying that it works best in conjuction with your existing keyboard and mouse although with enough practice you may be able to play some games using only the NIA. It has to be fun to use and buy.com has one for $78.49 with free shipping after mail in rebate, not a bad price considering it basically makes you telekenetic in the digital world. I’m getting one of these sooner or later, I have to, and when I do expect a hands-on review.
